Tony is a one of the first presenters on Sonder Radio, he also runs a group called "Out in the City", an over 50s social group for lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people. The group meets weekly and enjoys day trips, walks, coffee mornings and trips to museums and art galleries.
His show "Tunes from the Missing Channel" features mainly reggae and dub tracks with a few surprises. It's written & presented by Tony himself and is assisted with the production side of things by Reform Radio DJ, Louis Blatherwick. “I’ve been interested in reggae and dub music for over 45 years and have a large collection mainly on vinyl. In fact I have two records - “One Way System” by Dub Syndicate and “Super Ape” by Lee “Scratch” Perry - on cassette, vinyl LP, CD and mp3! I chose the name of the show after an album by Dub Syndicate as I wanted to share music which is rarely heard. I don’t play for the chart, I play for the heart.” - Tony Openshaw Follow Tony on Twitter: @TonyOpenshaw |
